Two friends are talking in a bar. One is smartly dressed in suit and tie. The other is dressed in rags.

The smartly dressed person looks confused.

Rags: What’s wrong?

Smart: Well, I’m in my weekend best and you’re... you’re...

R: Yes?

S: Well, you’re dressed in rags

R: Rags? These aren’t rags. They are the attire of an artisté. It is so I can live my life story.

S: Wow. Erm... why?

R: Taking a deep breath for dramatic effect.

Because I have decided to become a full-time professional painter.

S: Really? That is fascinating.

R: Yes, yes, yes...

S: Are you successful?

R: Oh yes, yes... I’ve sold lots of stuff.

S: Really? Congratulations!

R: Yes, yes. Lots and lots of stuff.

S: Like what?

R: My clothes, my stereo, my tv, my car, my house, my wife...
