An open mic is a live show at a coffeehouse, nightclub, comedy club or pub where audience members who are amateur performers or professionals who want to try out new material or plug an upcoming show are given the opportunity to perform onstage.

Tacoma Comedy Club

OPEN-MIC NIGHT -Every Tuesday and Wednesday night at Tacoma Comedy Club is Open-Mic Night! 15-20 comedians take the stage to try out new material, polish old material, or honor a bet with a buddy. This stage is for first timers, professionals, and everyone in-between. This show is FREE for all to attend. And remember, you get what you pay for! Reservations not required.

Punch Line Comedy Club

The Punch Line Comedy Club includes Punch Line San Francisco, Punch Line Sacramento, and Punch Line Philly. Comics such as Robin Williams, Ellen DeGeneres, Rosie O'Donnell, Drew Carey, Chris Rock, Patton Oswalt, and Dana Carvey took their first comedic steps on the Punch Line stage. The Punch Line's dedication to comic tradition has earned it the San Francisco Examiner and the San Francisco Chronicle's Readers' Choice Award for the Best Comedy Club. Today, The Punch Line is the only full-time comedy club in San Francisco.

Gotham Comedy Club

Gotham Comedy Club is a venue for stand-up comedy in New York City. Several movies and television shows have been filmed at the club. Numerous mainstream comedians have performed at the venue, including Dave Chappelle, Jerry Seinfeld, Lewis Black, Chris Rock, Dane Cook, Artie Lange, Chris Rush, Colin Quinn, Greg Giraldo, Tom Papa, Adam Ferrara, Jay Mohr, Dean Edwards, Pablo Francisco, Jim Gaffigan, Gabriel Iglesias, Doug Stanhope, Rosie O'Donnell, and Colin Kane.

Broadway Comedy Club

New York City’s Best Comedy Showcase The Industry Room is a comedy show that offers comedians the opportunity for industry exposure and professional development. Each show is attended by the main club booker of the Broadway Comedy Club as well as the club’s New Talent Director. After the show, the club booker will give you personal, one-on-one feedback on your set. Each show is also attended by a respected Manager, Agent or Casting Director. One comic from each show is selected for a 1-2 month residency at Broadway Comedy Club.

Brokerage Comedy Club

The Brokerage Comedy Club opened its doors in 1980 and for the past three decades many of the nations greatest comedians have stepped onto the stage entertaining audiences: Eddie Murphy, Ray Romano, Kevin James, Rob Bartlett, and Tim Allen... just a few to name. In January 2007, the Brokerage Comedy Club took on new ownership. Since then, the 3000 square foot Club has seen tremendous changes.

Helium Comedy Club

Helium Comedy Clubs are contemporary entertainment venues that bring stadium-sized talent to an intimate theater on a weekly basis. For a modest ticket price, patrons enjoy live comedy and other performance art from a nationally accredited act, no more than 60 feet away. Shows average 1 hour and forty minutes and comprise an opener, a feature, and a headliner with national entertainment credits. Helium holds its Open Mic Night every Tuesday at 8PM, open to both new talent and seasoned comics.

Upright Citizens Brigade

The Upright Citizens Brigade is Matt Besser, Amy Poehler, Ian Roberts and Matt Walsh. The 'UCB4' produced their own sketch show, 'Upright Citizens Brigade,' for three seasons on Comedy Central from 1998-2000. During the success of the TV show, UCB opened the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and Improvisational and Sketch Comedy Training Center in New York City. In 2005, UCB expanded and opened the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre Los Angeles and began offering UCB Training Center classes on the west coast.

Hollywood Improv

Shows typically consist of a host, a feature performer, and a headliner. The show runs approximately ninety minutes; but are not held to a time limit, so come to the club ready to laugh and have a good time!
