About:
The Funny Bone Comedy Club continues to enjoy a solid reputation as the most successful and professionally run comedy operation in the country. The entertainment format for "Stand Up" comedy proved to be an instant sensation and has made sellout crowds the rule, rather than the exception.
The Funny Bone began operation in July of 1981, at which point the following successful formula was introduced: Top headlining comedians each week, plus an emcee and a featured performer, add highly visible location, great service at a reasonable price, all of which equals success. Thus marking the beginning of the nation's most successful comedy club operation.
As our success grew, the biggest names in comedy today began to grace our stage, such as: Jim Carrey, Ellen De Generes, Roseanne Barr, Tim Allen, Jeff Foxworthy, George Wallace, Jerry Seinfield, Brett Butler, Dennis Miller, Marsha Warfield, Sinbad, Robin Williams, Richard Lewis, and Jay Leno, to name a few.
On a national level, H.B.O. chose the Funny Bone stage to produce it's first "Young Comedians Competition". Other syndicated programs, such as Star Search, and Showtime Comedy Club Network have filmed at numerous Funny Bone locations showcasing the next generation of stars.
Fund-raising events and charitable golf tournaments play a major role on the serious side of our business. Each location across the country helps local efforts to raise charitable dollars through various campaigns. Our St. Louis team has raised over 100,000 for HBO's Comic Relief, American Diabetes Association, and the Children's Miracle Network. We take our comedy serious at the Funny Bone.
The winning combination of our national presence, management skills, and business philosophy keeps our comedy enterprise growing, while the competition fades. The Future is even brighter for the Funny Bone Comedy Clubs as we strive to keep America laughing for generations to come.
